mahmud_monocoque structure

The intention here is to explore the possibility of monocoque structures using topMod +Maya. Primarily I have taken the structural morphology of radiolaria as a source of inspiration : its structural pattern, propagation, formation of 'thorn', 'needle' & 'spine' whenever it is required , thick struts & thin mesh and so on....

The 'thick strut' of the project could be made of fiber composite material which is used in bulkhead construction of ship building . The 'thin mesh' (membrane) could be made of ETFE foil/ cushion.
